In 1977, Jaap Zeeman published the book about the Dutch the longcase clock. Still this is the bible on the longcase wclocks; not only is the book 497 pages thick, but also this book gives a lot of detailed information. Clocks from all corners of the Netherlands are described, but the emphasis is clearly on the Amsterdam longcase clock “Het Amsterdams staand horloge”.
Unfortunately, this book is only available antiquarian for about 200 euros.
This reprint is a scan of the 1977 book. The quality of the images is therefore not of modern- but 1977-quality.
